One thing worth pointing out as an error on the part of the list makers here ... where the hell is all the disco??? Where's KISS's "I Was Made For Loving You"? The Chron also notes some other worthy ommissions: Macarena, anything by Barry Manilow, and Afternoon Delight by Starland Vocal Band. I'd also like to add a small sampling of Elton John & Billy Joel's worst, as well as Muskrat Love by Captain & Tenille. There's also a host of Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, and Donny & Marie tunes that could occupy a few slots.

That said, Starship takes an unnecessary hit as being the absolute worst. Achy Breaky or Ice Ice could have easily won that spot and I would further argue that, camp value aside, Starship does not even belong on the list.

Others that shouldn't be on here:
- Ebony and Ivory ... Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder
(What in the holy hell is this song doing on the list???)
- From a Distance ... Bette Midler
(corny, yes ... but why not add in The Bodyguard theme song as a substitute?)
- I'll Be There for You ... The Rembrandts
(the fact that we've heard it a million times too many does not make it a bad song)
- Broken Wings ... Mr. Mister
(WTF??? The band and tune rock!)
- Sunglasses at Night ... Corey Hart
(See above)
- She Bangs ... Ricky Martin
(I'm no fan, but this song ... bangs!)
- We Didn't Start the Fire ... Billy Joel
(Uptown Girl was a million times more worthy)
- The Sounds of Silence ... Simon & Garfunkel
(Who's peddling crack at Blender?)

My own preferred genre gets a ding as Europe's Final Countdown makes the list. There's possibly a few songs by the likes of Twisted Sister that could have been considered and Poison's Unskinny Bop certainly should have made the list as well.

While its true that lists like this are designed to spark conversation, I'm still in awe at the absence of disco and the placement of more than a handful of songs on (and off!) this list.
