The idea has been brought forth that a full caucus of clowns needs to congregate at some point in the month of December. The date ... open for negotiation. The setting ... there's a Chinese place in SW Houston that serves Peking Duck. Uber and I have that high on our "To Eat" list. Uber also suggested he's got coupons for an Ethiopian restaurant (no, that's not an oxymoron ... just funny).
Since the Rocky thing takes place the weekend of the 10th, I'll go ahead and start the ball rolling with a date of either the following Sunday (11th ... the brunching hour perhaps) or the Saturday following (17th ... dinner or lunch). If anyone's got problems with the dates, suggest an alternate. If there's a preference for dining options, state it. Otherwise, prepare for an assclown-only meeting so's we can all update our material a bit more for the following year.

I like the 11th. I know I'll be free that weekend. But can make time either weekend if need be.
Regarding the dining options: The Peking Duck place comes highly recommended by coworkers from Bejing as well as many asian folks I work with. The duck dinner runs $23, and I figure it can be supplemented with an additional main course to easily feed 4. The duck dinner is a whole duck, served Peking style where the skin is dried out to give it a very crispy texture and most of the subcutaneous fat has been cooked away. The duck is brought to the table, the breast sliced and served with bok choy and thin crepes, then the rest of the duck is taken to the back to make a quick soup out of, which is served after eating the breast. The duck dinner must be reserved a day in advance! Linkage here and here.
Ethiopean food might just be a little too adventurous for our bunch. I know at least one of our entourage has an aversion to spicy food, and Ethiopean food is mighty spicy. But I definately am game if y'all are.
The 11th sounds good to me. And an inordinate assemblage of spices does indeed scare me.

It's settled then. Official caucus called for Dec. 11th. Changes to plans to be made via this board. Duck reserved on the 10th, so as to guarantee availability.
