But did they have "Island Of Death" ?!
If there's a laserdisc version of that movie, believe me that I'll be the one to locate it!
Well, I checked ... no such animal exists. However, the following are out there ... somewhere:
Girlfriend from Hell ... my latest quest as the title track of the soundtrack is an amazingly catchy song that I love.
CHUD & CHUD II
Zapped & Zapped Again
Rock & Roll High School
Rock & Roll High School Again
Zappa's Universe
Yngwie Malmsteen: Heaven Tonight (5")
Fast Food ... assuming this is the same title with Jim Varney and Traci Lords
Decline of Western Civilization
ABBA & ABBA In Concert
They're all out there ... somewhere.
Hold on to that Star Wars laser disc. From what I've heard, Lucas doesn't want any pre-revisionist editions of the film ever released again. That makes that thing priceless as far as I'm concerned.
Agreed on the "Star Wars" disc. Actually, I was sold on the lot when I saw "Mask." Aside from my Jim Carrey affinity, the movie was my first dabble into the laserdisc format back when we had it at IKEA and the display was in my department. Word to the wise, around the 20th time in a given day you've played the "Cuban Pete" chapter, you no longer get votes for Employee of the Month.
I've yet to spin Star Wars other than as a test to make sure the gizmo works properly. I have spun "Superman" and "Batman & Robin," however. Saving SW for a time when I can devote to some detail viewing for some of the pre-DVD cleanup work. Ideally, I think this player needs to be imported to an upcoming UberFest (or possibly a RalphieFest) for a select audience to nitpick the laserdisc version compared to the newer versions.
On another note - after watching "Shaun of the Dead" recently, I'm curious how much damage my copy of "Prince of Tides" can do as a frisbee.
