Let the Countdown Begin ...

Trailer #5

Oh, and I've also created an avatar on the Simpsons Movie website:

Needless to say, I've been mesmerized by this woman who takes the same bus as me downtown, has purple hair yet doesn't seem otherwise like your typical "alt.chick." Plus, it picks up a campaign nickname I've earned and puts it into the form of a cartoon character with an overbite that'd be proud to be seen around Springfield.

FINALLY, blogging and threaded comments used for a truly constructive purpose. There can be no greater day than this ... let it be said, let it be written.

Matt Groenings Portland

Holy Crap, this is cool ... Matt Groening has famously ripped off his hometown of Portland for names and places to incorporate into TV's The Simpsons. But this gives a more graphical version of the story and its pretty fun to play with.

Simpsons Go Gay

"Simpsons": A Gay Old Time

This totally violates the sanctity of cartoon marriages everywhere!

Yet, the parlor game rolls onward. I tend to agree that outing Smithers is too easy. Also worth adding that it would be an easy comic diversion to depict a Smithers nervous of being outted, as has been his case for years.

Easy money is on Lenny & Carl, with an outside chance of Frink & Comic Book Guy. Nevermind that we've established CBG's interest in older women. Nevermind that we've had Frink with children in previous episodes ... I think even a wife, or significant other. Call your shot. This has some easy makings of a classic episode.

Oh, also this ... "Homer becomes a minister by going on the Internet and filling out a form." Who does this remind us of, folks? Anyone? Anyone?

Seconding the Motion ...

Pete at Perfectly Cromulent Blog, has decided that February be Simpsons Quote Month. I couldn't agree more. Let it be known then, that all posts are recommended to have a Simpsons quote as a closing tag line or worked into the overall theme of the post itself (trust me, its better than Funny Hat Month). You people have stood in my way long enough. I'm going to clown college!
